Milan, January 21, 2025 – Innovo Renewables, an Italian company that develops, builds and manages renewable energy projects in Italy, the United Kingdom and Spain, has acquired 11 photovoltaic plants, including agrivoltaic projects, in an advanced stage of development (ready-to-build) with a total capacity of 66 MW.
The transaction, which involved several counterparties, will accelerate the growth of the company founded by Rodolfo Bigolin, which aims to reach 150 MW of acquired projects by mid-year.
Construction of the 11 projects, located in Lombardy, Tuscany, Lazio, Abruzzo and Puglia, is expected to begin in summer 2025, with commissioning scheduled between the end of the year and early 2026.
The acquisition of the ready-to-build plants was also made possible thanks to the recent €30 million investment by Aviva Investors, which increased its stake to 45% of the company’s share capital, and will further support Innovo Renewables’ development plan, with the goal of establishing the company as one of Europe’s leading independent power producers (IPPs).
